My life as a stay at home mom

Another tooth…

Good morning!  Here is the story of Jacob’s second of his two front teeth that he wanted for Christmas.  The said tooth has been ready to pull for about 2 months now, but unfortunately Jacob did not want anyone to pull it or maybe more so sing another rendition of All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth.  I have been trying by surprise ambush attacks to get it out, because looking at him with it dangling there has been driving us crazy.  My wonderful husband, however, has been going about it the diplomatic way by talking to him and slowly wearing him down.  Finally on February 16th, 2012 he wore him down, convinced him the easiest way to get a tooth out was to tie it to a door knob and slam it shut.  This will be just great – maybe even ten thousand dollars great so I got the video camera.  We decided to do it in the kitchen where the best audience was and the slightly lower drawer pulls were.  Daddy did the prep work, and with each pending moment Jacob is getting more doubtful and a little more agitated.  A small amount of discussion ensued about who will shut the drawer after it was all tied up.  My husband suggested Jacob to do it himself, however the string was too long so he couldn’t reach – finally we decided quickly because Jacob was starting to try to get the string off now and dad was holding him to stop him, that mom would close the drawer and run the video camera – this decision sealed the fact that ten thousand dollars would not be happening.  So 1, 2, 3 slam and the tooth scattered across the floor.  It really was that easy.  My terrible video footage saw Jacob and daddy, then the drawer as I shut it, and then down to the floor in search of the tooth.  I was so trying find locate the tooth, I completely forgot about my now very gappy son.  As it ends, we had a new tooth for the tooth fairy, a huge open garage door in our son’s mouth and some very terrible video footage.

Here at least are some pictures to enjoy:
